About Escape Route
Kaitlin started Escape Route after becoming exceptionally good at identifying careers she did not want, and considerably less good at figuring out what she wanted instead. She genuinely believes that work should help us build a life, not become the part of life we need to escape.
With a scattered background in hospitality, writing, research, wine making, and linguistics, Kaitlin knew she loved helping people, solving problems, and doing work that felt connected with other humans. She also knew another generic corporate job was NOT going to be the exciting plot twist she needed.
After feeling lost in her own search for meaningful work, Kaitlin created Escape Route to help others discover realistic paths that fit who they are and how they want to live. (Those who can't do, teach, right?) And yes, she's pursuing one of the ideas this website gave her on the side too... Stay tuned to find out how it goes!
