Quiz answers
Quiz progress and free results stay in your browser unless you choose to submit an email address. With that opt-in, we save only your route archetype and limited work-preference answers—not your free-text answer—to make the email signup useful. The results are automated suggestions, not psychological, financial, or professional career advice. Salary, licensing, education, and job requirements are estimates that vary by employer and area.
Email opt-in
We only record an email after you actively check the consent box. You can stop that opt-in or delete the lead record at any time. We do not sell personal information.
Coworker invites
Text, email, copy-link, and share actions open your own apps. We never collect or store coworker contact details—not an email address, phone number, contacts, or address book. An invite link may carry a random referral token, but it only credits an invite after the recipient independently takes the quiz and opts in with their own email.
Employer sharing
Employers cannot access your quiz profile or results unless you explicitly opt in to a future employer-sharing feature. We will ask first and make that choice clear.
Accounts, reports, and payments
If you create an account, we store the account information needed to provide account features. A paid Escape Plan uses quiz context saved in your browser to generate the report; we do not put free-text answers in checkout URLs or analytics. Payments are processed by the platform and Stripe, not by Escape Route's own servers. We retain purchase records only as needed for access, support, accounting, and legal obligations.
Analytics and email choices
We use privacy-conscious product analytics for aggregate events such as quiz completion, results views, plan views, and email opt-ins. We do not send raw quiz free text or sensitive answers as analytics properties. Marketing email requires your consent; the free Weekly Unusual has an unsubscribe link, and paid alerts can be paused or canceled from your account.
Employer forms and retention
Employer interest forms are used to respond to the inquiry and evaluate a possible listing. We do not sell personal information or share a user profile with employers without explicit consent. We retain data only for the purpose collected, reasonable operational backup periods, and applicable legal obligations; deletion requests remove or de-identify records where feasible.
Delete your quiz data
This removes the consented lead record we hold, including saved quiz context. Free quiz progress stays in your browser and can be cleared by retaking the quiz.
